Rules shared by all three games

  • Players take turns clockwise and play one card to each trick.
  • Follow the led suit whenever your hand contains it.
  • The winning player or team collects the trick and leads next.
  • Cards outside the led suit cannot win unless they are trump.

Hearts quick rules

  • Avoid hearts worth 1 point each and the queen of spades worth 13.
  • Pass three cards left, right, and across; every fourth hand is hold.
  • The 2 of clubs leads the first trick.
  • Do not lead hearts until broken unless only hearts remain.
  • Taking all 26 points shoots the moon: opponents receive 26 each.
  • When someone reaches 100, the unique lowest score wins.

Spades quick rules

  • Partners sit across from one another and bid expected tricks.
  • Spades are always trump and cannot be led until broken unless only spades remain.
  • Make the team contract for 10 points per bid trick plus overtricks.
  • Missing the contract costs 10 points per bid trick.
  • Nil succeeds for 100 points and fails for −100.
  • Ten bags cause a 100-point penalty; the game target is 500.

Euchre quick rules

  • Use 9 through ace in each suit; deal five cards per player.
  • Choose the turned suit in round one or another suit in round two.
  • The right bower is highest; the same-color jack is the left bower and becomes trump.
  • Makers earn 1 for three or four tricks and 2 for all five.
  • Defenders earn 2 when they euchre the makers.
  • A successful lone march earns the larger lone-hand award; the target is 10.
